Entrepreneur mindset for moms

Embrace the Chaos (Because Balance Is a Lie Anyway)

May 05, 20263 min read

How to build a business, raise kids, and keep your sanity… most of the time.

Welcome to the Chaos

Let’s just start here:

If you’re waiting for life to feel calm before you go all in on your business…

👉 You’re going to be waiting forever.

Because life as a mom (and especially a mom building something) isn’t structured.

It’s:

  • Loud

  • Messy

  • Interrupted every 7 minutes

  • And somehow always happening all at once

You’ve got a call scheduled…
Your kid needs a snack…
You forgot to switch the laundry…
And now you’re questioning all your life choices before 10am.

Normal. All of it.

The goal isn’t to eliminate the chaos. It’s to learn how to move inside it.

Balance Is Cute… But Not Real

You know that idea of “work-life balance”?

Yeah… that perfectly color-coded, everything-is-in-harmony version?

👉 That’s adorable. Also… not real.

Some days:

  • Your business gets your focus

  • Some days your family needs more

  • And some days? You’re just surviving and everyone gets snacks for dinner

Balance isn’t about everything getting equal attention.

👉 It’s about knowing what matters today… and letting that be enough.

Your To-Do List Isn’t the Boss (You Are)

Let’s talk about the never-ending to-do list.

You know the one:

  • 47 tasks

  • Half started

  • 3 added while you were reading this

Instead of trying to do everything…

👉 Do the things that actually move your life forward.

Try this:

  • Pick 3 non-negotiables for the day

  • Get those done

  • Everything else = bonus

Because staying “busy” isn’t the goal.

👉 Progress is.

And yes… sometimes progress looks like:

  • Sending 2 emails

  • Making 1 call

  • And keeping a tiny human alive

Counts. All of it counts.

Delegation… Even If It’s Not Perfect

This is where a lot of us struggle.

Because it’s faster to just do it yourself, right?

Until…
👉 You’re exhausted
👉 Overwhelmed
👉 And slightly resentful that no one else “just handles things”

So here’s your permission slip:

  • Ask your partner for help

  • Let your kids be involved (even if it’s messy)

  • Outsource when you can

Will it be done perfectly?

No.

Will your life get easier?

👉 Also no… just kidding — YES 😂

Self-Care (Not the Fancy Kind)

Let’s clear something up.

Self-care isn’t:

  • A full spa day

  • A perfectly quiet morning

  • Or some unrealistic Pinterest routine

Sometimes it’s:

  • Drinking your coffee while it’s still hot ☕️

  • Sitting in your car for 5 minutes of silence

  • Taking a walk to reset your brain

And if that sounds small…

👉 It’s not.

Because when you’re constantly giving to everyone else…

You have to refill your own tank.

You don’t need more time, you need small moments that are actually yours.

You’re Not Failing, You’re Building

If your life feels chaotic right now…

It’s probably because you’re:

  • Growing

  • Stretching

  • Trying something new

And yeah… it’s uncomfortable.

But that doesn’t mean you’re doing it wrong.

It means you’re doing something that actually matters.

Final Thought

You don’t need:

  • More time

  • A perfect routine

  • Or everything figured out

You just need to keep going.

Even in the chaos.
Especially in the chaos.

✨ Final Thoughts from Kat

If this resonated with you, you’re exactly who I created this for.

R.O.A.R isn’t about having it all together, it’s about building something while life is happening.

👉 The chaos
👉 The pressure
👉 The growth

That’s the work.

If you’re not already part of it, come join us.

And if today felt like a lot?

You’re still moving forward.
